How do you secure the documentation
As Client you can have many active roles in connection with a construction project. To organize the digital communication as best as possible, it is important to understand the software. There can be different phases of the construction project which requires you to keep a close eye:
1. The workspace
The workspace is most efficiently used during the design/projection phase. Keep tabs on the consultant team and make sure, they are using the project as a sharing platform for the entire project organization.
2. The publication space
The publication space will be used during the construction phase. Keep and eye on – and make sure the Client is getting maximum use of this space to share files with Subcontractors.
3. Version sets
Version sets is a space to gather documentation for phase shift and other important milestones. Be aware that the project organization also applies this space to approvals from the Client.
Tips and tricks
- You can create communication threads in version sets with specific files by using the function “Notify users and contacts”.
- Use the search box just above the folder structure to search for files and folders. If you search for a blank entry, you will gain an overview of everything you have access to within the space you are searching.
- Guide for activity overview - If you have access to the module Project Administration, then you are able to control the activity via the menu in system information.
