Management of drawings
The workspace and publication space are used for communication during the Execution phase of a construction case. These areas primary use is for sharing of drawings and documents.
Files are uploaded in their respective folders in the workspace (Consultants can access and control them). When the status of a file is “current”, it is ready for the publication space. This is where the construction management team will be notified. From there on it is their responsibility to further communication and issue the documents to trade contractors.
Files have three important status indicators from their process through workspace and the publication space.
1. No status indicator
For new files which is yet to be published, there will be no status indicator. The document list in the publication space, when publishing these files, should be noted.
2. Red status indicator
There will be a red status indicator for newer versions of an already published file. When publishing a new version of a file, you do not need to specify document list for the publication space.
3. Green status indicator
For files where the latest file version has been released, there is a green status indicator.
