Assignment of rights
As an ICT-leader on a project, you are responsible for adding users and administrating their project-rights. You are automatically assigned the role as project administrator. The module Project Administration is where you can administer the project.
The users on the project can be assigned different user rights. Beneath you will find several examples on which rights could be assigned to different roles.
Builder/owner
A good rule of thumb is that the Builder/owner should have access to the workspace and the publication space. The Builder/owner should be able to observe almost all files, as well as being able to upload selected folders as, contracts, basis, economy, authorities etc.
See picture below.
Consultant
Consultants must have access to the workspace and the publication space. Consultants upload material to the workspace during the Design phase. They can make use of the publication space during the construction phase by publishing relevant and applicable files.

Constructions manager
The construction manager should be able to administer the publication space and the distribution space. This is for the sake of creating an overview of relevant and applicable material as well as the distribution of material for the subcontractors.
See picture below.
Subcontractors
Subcontractors must have access to the publication space and the distribution space. They can download files in the distribution space and upload material in the publication space.

Tips and tricks
Structuring of a project
The project uses the folder structure BIPS A104 at the creation of new projects. It might happen that you need to create more folders in different spaces – this requires administrator rights.
To change a folder structure, you need to right click on a folder or a list in the left sidebar. This will show you your editing options. For more information see “tips and tricks”.
