System information
Purpose
To get an overview of the activity on a project.
Background
As a project administrator you have the opportunity to access the menu "System information", where you can find useful data about the project. You can for example see data, statistics, group information alongside which users are members of which groups.
Things you should be attentive to
- You need administrator rights to be able to access "System information".
- You cannot edit the information, but only create an overview over the following areas.
Project data
Under the menu "Project data" you can see the number of files which are uploaded in the project. You also have the possibility to see the modules which are opted.
Project statistics
Under the menu "Project statistic" you can see some bar charts representing logins, file upload, file download and shared files from the whole period since the start of the project.
Folder permisson by group
Under the menu "Folder permission by group" you can see all rights in the Work Space. Here you can get a quick overview over which groups that has access to the folders.
Group memberships of all users
Under the menu "Group memberships of all users", you can see alle the users and the groups they are associated with.

History and log
Purpose
See the history and log.
Background
Almost every actions taken in RIB Project is noted with date and time alongside with the user and its company.
You can quickly access all the history of a file by marking the files.
All history of a project will be noted in the module "Log". Here there are different filtering options, so you easily can find what you seek. You will also have the opportunity to extract specific data to Excel for further processing.
Things you should be attentive to
- The history of the latest file version can also be seen by right clicking on a file and choose "Show history".
- You need administrator access to be able to see the history of a project.

- Mark a file
- Choose a file version
- Click on "Mere..." and choose "Show history" in the drop-down menu
- A new window opens with the file history
History of a project
- Go to the module "History"
- Click on "Download excel-file" to download the full history of a project
Backup, Archive and Vault
Purpose
Make a backup, and/or archive a project, and/or keep your documentation in Vault.
Background
There are three options to preserve you data, if you do not manually download the files.
- Get a backup sent on a link with the opportunity to download.
- The project can be transferred to RIB Archive, where RIB continues to store all documentation in a safe serverspace, where its users easily can access the material through a browser or a mobil/tablet.
- Create a Vault project, which gives a precise snapshot of a project at a given time. An online copy that secures access to own data.
Things you should be attentive to
- When you order a backup, you will get all the filers and history from the folders you have access to.
- When you have ordered your backup you will get contacted by RIB Support with a price on the backup (according to the size), along with a request on a final approval.
- You will receive a price as soon as your Vaulr project has been generated, along with a request of final approval.
How to
Order a backup
- Choose the module "Personal overviews"
- Choose "Backup-order"
- Choose the function "Order file backup"
- Specify how many copies are wanted, if you the newest files or all versions and which versions set you want a backup of.
- Finish the order by clicking "OK"
Transfer to RIB archive
- If you have a project that you want to transfer to Archive you have to contact RIB support on +45 3125 1741 or support@rib-software.dk
Create a Vault project
ICDD export
Purpose
Export your project material in ICDD format.
Background
The ICDD export feature in RIB Project makes it easy for you to export project materials in the standardized ICDD format required by Bygalment.dk. This ensures a simple and error-free transfer of data, saving time and ensuring compatibility with platform requirements.
Things you should be attentive to
- The ICDD package is downloaded as a .zip file.
How to
- Select the “Personal overviews” module
- Select “ICDD export”
- Select the “Export ICDD file” function
- Click on “OK”
- Your ICDD file will be processed and once it has been generated, you will receive an email that it is ready for download.
- The ICDD file is downloaded from the overview by clicking on the order and then clicking on the download link.
