Background
You can create a tender with negotiation once you have logged in to RIB.
Things you should be attentive to
- If you create a quote on behalf of another company, enter their billing information when creating the quote.
- A tender with negotiation can not be created with several contracts.

The preliminary submission phase
Purpose
Guidance on the preliminary submission phase in relation to start-up and completion.
Background
You can prepare the preliminary submission phase once the tender has been created.
If you have held a prequalification, you must complete it by selecting a result - The bidders you mark as winners advance to the initial bid phase and are transferred automatically upon publication of the result.

Complete the preliminary submission phase and proceed to the negotiation phase
You need to complete the preliminary submission phase by selecting a result - The companies you tick off can proceed to the next phase.
If necessary, follow this guide to publish a result: Complete a tender.
After selecting the result, you can choose to "Continue flexible tender" in a window on the screen - You can also wait and start the negotiation phase later - Start the negotiation phase later.
You can also go directly to the final submission phase - Skip the negotiation phase.
The negotiation phase
Purpose
Guidance on the negotiation phase in relation to start-up and completion.
Background
When the preliminary submission phase ends, the negotiation phase can be started.
Things you should be attentive to
- The negotiation phase can only be started when the preliminary submission phase is completed with a result, and the selected winners can proceed.
- Settings from the preliminary submission phase is copied to the negotiation phase.
- Skip the negotiation phase.
How to
Start the negotiation phase
- End the preliminary submission phase by selecting a result
- Go to the menu "Tender phases"
- Click "Start negotiation phase" - The guide will continue below the picture
- Get an overview of the companies that will join in round 1 of the negotiation phase and click "Next - The guide continues below the picture
- Enter meeting times and submission deadlines for the participants and click "Next" - The guide continues below the picture
- Round 1 of the negotiation phase starts and you can follow the status and details of the active round under "Submitted tender offers". This is also where you can change deadlines, upload meeting minutes and attachments as well as view submitted files.
End the negotiation phase and start a new round (or go to the final submission phase)
- Go to the menu "Submitted tender offers" and click on a delivery status for one of the participants - The guide continues below the picture
- Rate each bidder as either "Accepted" or "Rejected" by clicking on one of the buttons. Click "OK" afterwards.
NOTE: Only accepted can be transferred to round 2 or the final submission phase - The guide continues below the picture - Go to the "Tender phases" menu and click on "New negotiation round", to start round 2.

The final submission phase
Purpose
Guidance on the final submission phase in relation to start-up and completion.
Background
You can start the final submission phase after the preliminary submission phase or after the negotiation phase.
Things you should be attentive to
- Only bidders selected as winners in the last phase result can advance to the final submission phase.
How to
Start the final submission phase
- Go to the menu "Tender phases" and click on "New negotiation round" - The guide continues below the picture
- Check "Final submission phase" and click "Next" - The guide continues below the image
- Enter selected deadlines and click "Next" - The guide will continue below the image
- The final submission phase has started.
Finish the final submission phase
- Follow this guide: Complete a tender
- It is important that you publish a result, to complete the tender correctly.
